- On Thursday 26th of April 2012 NCPOP held a seminar entitled 'Managing elder abuse in Ireland: The senior case worker's experience'. This seminar was presented by Dr. Deirdre O'Donnell from the National Centre for the Protection of Older People. - On Tuesday 21st of February 2012 a seminar entitled 'Identifying and making decisions about the presence of elder abuse' was held by NCPOP. This seminar was presented by Dr. Campbell Killick from South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust, Co. Down. - On Tuesday 6th of December 2011 a seminar entitled 'Older People's Understandings of Elder Abuse" & "Staff Perceptions of Elder Abuse' was held by NCPOP. This seminar was presented by Dr. Janet Anand Carter from Queen's University, Belfast and Dr. Alice Coffey, University College Cork. - The NCPOP Seminar Series 2011-2012 began on Wedensday 19th of October 2011 with a seminar entitled 'Elder Abuse, Ethical Dilemmas & Multi-Agency Work - What are the Influences and Constraints on Professional Decision-making in Adult Protection?' This seminar was presented by Dr. Angie Ash from Swansea University, Wales.
