Positive Ageing Week 2010

Friday 24th September to Saturday 2nd October 2010

Positive Aging Week is coordinated by Age Action Ireland and aims to highlight the positive aspects of ageing and to celebrate the contribution made by older people to their communities.  The main aim of Positive Ageing Week is to dispel the negative perceptions of ageing and to celebrate the fact that we are living longer; after all ageing is not a burden but an opportunity!  Events and activities are organised by active retirement groups, local voluntary groups, nursing homes, libraries, commercial organisations and individual older people themselves.  If you would like to organise an event to mark Positive Ageing Week please click here for more information.
